Zelquyn ("Zelquyn", "we", "us", or "our") is a dating, connection, chat, and social discovery platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use Zelquyn, including our website, mobile web app, installed app experience, lobbies, discovery, chat, premium features, and related services.

By using Zelquyn, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use Zelquyn.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of Zelquyn, and limited technical information from your device or browser.

1.1 Account information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Login credentials or authentication identifiers
  • Google/OAuth account identifiers, if you sign in using a third-party provider
  • Account status, verification status, subscription status, and account settings
  • Support requests and communications with us

We do not ask for your password if you sign in using a third-party provider.

1.2 Profile information

Zelquyn relies on profile information to help people discover and connect with each other. Depending on what you choose to provide, we may collect:

  • Display name
  • Age or date-of-birth related information
  • Gender or profile identity fields
  • Date / Connect / Both openness
  • Dating, friendship, or connection preferences
  • Languages
  • Country, city, or general location information
  • Interests, hobbies, lifestyle details, prompts, answers, bio, and personality-style responses
  • Photos, videos, and other media you upload
  • Visibility settings, privacy settings, and profile completion data

Some profile information may be visible to other users depending on your settings and how you use the app.

1.3 Discovery, matching, and interaction data

To operate discovery, recommendations, matching, and safety features, we may collect:

  • Likes, passes, Sparks, matches, and other interaction signals
  • Filters and discovery preferences
  • Recommendation context
  • Profile views or engagement events where used
  • Compatibility or "Why you match" related signals
  • Date / Connect / Both mode selections
  • Undo, refresh, and feed interaction activity

We use this information to provide and improve discovery, matching, ranking, safety, and user experience.

1.4 Messages, chats, and lobbies

When you use chats or lobbies, we may collect:

  • Message content
  • Chat media, images, attachments, and related metadata
  • Message timestamps
  • Read receipts and delivery states, where enabled
  • Reply, edit, delete, report, and moderation actions
  • Lobby titles, categories, descriptions, posts, messages, participation, and activity signals

If you delete a message, it may be replaced with a placeholder such as "This message was deleted." Some technical or moderation records may remain where needed for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or platform integrity.

1.5 Photos, media, and safety checks

If you upload or send images, videos, or other media, we collect and process that media to provide profile, chat, discovery, and safety features.

We may use automated or manual review tools to detect, blur, restrict, or remove content that may violate our rules, including explicit, abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe content. For example, images in chats may be blurred until a user taps to reveal them.

1.6 Location and timezone information

Zelquyn may use general location information such as city, country, region, or timezone to support discovery, profile context, recommendations, safety, and account security.

We do not rely on continuous GPS tracking for core discovery. If device-assisted location lookup is used, it should be permission-based and used to improve location accuracy or user experience.

1.7 Payment and purchase information

If you buy Premium, Sparks, or other paid features, payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

We may receive limited payment-related information, such as:

  • Subscription status
  • Product purchased
  • Payment confirmation
  • Renewal or cancellation status
  • Billing country or tax-related metadata where applicable

We do not store your full credit card number or full payment card details on our servers.

1.8 Push notifications and device tokens

If you enable notifications, we may collect and store push notification tokens and related device/browser information so we can send notifications such as:

  • New messages
  • Likes
  • Sparks
  • Matches
  • Account or safety updates
  • Important service notices

You can control notification preferences in your device/browser settings and within Zelquyn where available.

1.9 Technical, analytics, and security information

When you use Zelquyn, we may collect technical and usage data such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • App or browser mode, such as browser, installed PWA, or app wrapper
  • Pages viewed and actions taken
  • Log data, timestamps, error events, and performance data
  • Security events, abuse signals, suspicious activity, and fraud prevention data
  • Cookie, local storage, or similar browser storage data

We use this information to keep Zelquyn secure, reliable, and functional.

2. How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Create, operate, and maintain your account
  • Provide discovery, matching, chat, lobbies, Sparks, Premium, and profile features
  • Personalize recommendations and improve compatibility signals
  • Show relevant users, rooms, prompts, and interactions
  • Process payments, subscriptions, purchases, and refunds
  • Send push notifications, service updates, and account alerts
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve reliability, performance, design, and product experience
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate spam, fraud, abuse, harassment, fake accounts, and unsafe behavior
  • Enforce our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and safety policies
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Zelquyn, and others

3. Visibility of your information

Some information is intended to be visible to other users, including:

  • Your profile photos and profile content
  • Display name, age, general location, languages, interests, and prompts
  • Date / Connect / Both openness or intent signals
  • Lobby activity and public/shared lobby content
  • Messages you send to matches or in lobbies
  • Online/activity indicators where enabled

Your exact visibility depends on your settings, features used, and whether you use privacy options such as Incognito or hide online status.

You should not share information on Zelquyn that you do not want other users to see.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information under one or more of the following bases:

  • Contract: to provide Zelquyn and perform our Terms of Use
  • Consent: where you choose to provide information or enable permissions, such as notifications or optional location features
  • Legitimate interests: to improve Zelquyn, prevent abuse, secure the platform, and provide relevant discovery and recommendations
  • Legal obligation: to comply with laws, lawful requests, and regulatory requirements
  • Vital interests or public interest: where necessary to protect safety or respond to serious harm

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information you choose to share through profiles, chats, matches, discovery, and lobbies may be visible to other users.

5.2 With service providers

We may use trusted service providers to help operate Zelquyn, including providers for:

  • Hosting and infrastructure
  • Databases and storage
  • Image/media storage
  • Authentication
  • Email delivery
  • Push notifications
  • Payment processing
  • Analytics, security, logging, and performance monitoring
  • Customer support and moderation tools

These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.

5.3 For safety, moderation, and legal reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Investigate or prevent fraud, spam, abuse, harassment, illegal activity, or safety threats
  • Enforce our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines

Zelquyn may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to:

  • Understand how the product is used
  • Support installed app or PWA behavior

You can control cookies and browser storage through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.

7. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Zelquyn may send notifications about messages, likes, Sparks, matches, account activity, or service updates.

You can manage notifications through:

  • Zelquyn notification settings, where available
  • Your browser settings
  • Your device settings
  • Installed app or PWA settings

Notification delivery may depend on your device, browser, operating system, app mode, network connection, and permission settings.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Zelquyn, maintain account records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and protect users.

General retention principles:

  • Account and profile information is kept while your account is active.
  • Chat and lobby content may be retained while your account or relevant conversations/rooms remain active.
  • Deleted messages may be replaced by a deletion placeholder, while limited metadata may be retained for safety or legal reasons.
  • Deleted accounts are deleted, anonymized, or deactivated according to operational, legal, and safety needs.
  • Payment records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargeback, and legal purposes.
  • Moderation, safety, fraud, and security records may be retained for longer where needed to prevent abuse or protect users.

We may retain anonymized or aggregated information that does not identify you.

9. Account deletion and user controls

You may be able to access, update, or delete certain information through your account settings.

Depending on your account and location, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account or request deletion of personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Request a copy of your information

10. Safety, moderation, and reports

Zelquyn is designed to help people connect safely. To protect users, we may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content and accounts where we believe there may be:

  • Harassment, abuse, threats, or harmful behavior
  • Fake accounts, impersonation, scams, spam, or fraud
  • Sexual exploitation, explicit abuse, or unsafe content
  • Attempts to bypass blocks, bans, safety tools, or moderation actions
  • Violations of our Terms, Community Guidelines, or policies
  • Illegal activity or safety risks

Reports, blocks, moderation decisions, and related evidence may be retained for safety, investigation, and legal reasons.

11. International data transfers

Zelquyn may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally recognized mechanisms.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

However, no internet service, app, database, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and should contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

13. Children and age restrictions

Zelquyn is intended only for users who are legally old enough to use a dating or social discovery service in their location.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Zelquyn.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may remove the account and associated information, subject to safety and legal retention needs.

14. Third-party links and services

Zelquyn may contain links to third-party websites, services, or payment providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

For example, payments may be handled by Stripe, and authentication may involve Google or another sign-in provider. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the "Last updated" date, showing an in-app notice, sending an email, or using another appropriate method.

Your continued use of Zelquyn after changes means you accept the updated policy.
